You’re the August Street Teamer of the month, how does that feel?

That feels great! It's the best news I've had all week, it's nice to know my hard work is worth while.

What made you want to join the Motel Rocks Street Team?

I've been a huge fan of Motel Rocks for a long time and once I saw my favourite bloggers collaborating with motel for lots of exciting things, I decided to get in on the action!

What advice would you give to other teamers?

The best advice I could give is to be creative. Don't just put your banner in a corner of your blog, go out and talk to people and casually mention your code, print stickers and business cards and hand them out or leave them in places. My hairdresser was kind enough to let me leave a few cards on her counter.

Any tips on how to make the most of being a Street Teamer? 

Motel is one of the best brands to work with so make the most of it by creating wishlist posts and styling your favourite item over and over again, showing your readers how versatile their pieces can be. Be genuine, in my case, I genuinely love Motel!

What’s the best thing about being in the Street Team?

Best thing about being a street teamer is the community side of it. Once you see a fellow blogger is also a member it gives you something to talk about and can be a bit of an icebreaker. In fact, I just gave my code to someone on my Uni course who I've only just met today.

So cool! Motel is one of my favorite brands and being street teamer of the month is amazing. 

What made you want to join the Motel Rocks Street Team?

I saw a bunch of other bloggers that were part of the motel street team and I thought it was a really great way to get bloggers involved with the brand and it was really easy to sign up too.

What advise would you give to other teamers?

Promote your code when and wherever you can, I promote on instagram and on my blog. I also give my code to friends so they can get discounts off too! 

Any tips on how to make the most of being a Street Teamer? 

Tell everyone and anyone about your code, everyone loves a discount!

Whats the best thing about being in the Street Team?

The commission is really great as I don't have a lot of money being a student so by promoting a brand that I really love and getting clothing in return is a really great system which I think more brands should take note of! I also find the street team really encourage bloggers to promote with blogger competitions and sale preview, which makes being part of the street team really fun. I love how motel really gets us involved with their brand. 

Meet our ST Stylst Ciara O' Doherty!

Hello lovelies!

My name is Ciara and I am a presenter, fashion writer, and all-round dreamer blogging from www.WildChildStories.com. Fashion, and the media are my absolute passions, and I had so much fun using them to get creative with my Street Team Stylist Tasks, so as you can imagine I was SO happy when I chosen to be a Street Team Stylist! Im an adventurous, fun-loving girl, so I can't wait to see what kinds of mischief myself and the other ST Stylists will get up to!

Motel has to be one of my favourite online shops right now. They're not afraid to be bold with their designs and trends, but they always get it so right! When I throw on a Motel skirt or dress for a night-out, I know I'm going to have a good time. One of my all-time favourite Motel pieces simply HAS to be the Gabby Sequin Dress, it's my ultimate party dress, and I've gotten so much wear out of it! Im really loving Motels new Shiva Print pieces at the moment, the colours are just beautiful, and I think they're the perfect summer party-wear. Im also really digging the Marble-Print Kimono jacket, it would be perfect as a light cover-up on a hot day!

My style is very eclectic, its always changing depending on my mood. I love hunting for bargains online and in thrift shops, and mixing it up with highstreet finds. You don't need to spend a fortune to look great, its all about mixing and matching the right pieces! At the moment I'm wearing lots of colour, and experimenting with some fun prints for Spring/Summer.

Your the Street Teams May teamer of the month, how does that feel? 

Amazing, I've had a horrible week with my dissertation so it's cheered me right up! 

What made you want to join the Motel Rocks Street Team? 

Motel's one of my all time favourite brands so as soon as I heard about the street team I joined right away!

What advise would you give to other teamers? 

Don't shove your code down people's throats, nobody wants that! I include my code at the end of blog posts where I feature Motel and give it to friends who I know also love the brand. 

Any tips on how to make the most of being a Street Teamer? 

Wear motel as often as possible! Then when people ask where the it's from you can tell them and pop them your discount code too :-)

Whats the best thing about being in the Street Team? 

There's always loads of exciting opportunities, from the recent styling task to the sneak previews of sales! The commission's a wee bonus too, I've used it towards to many nice Motel pieces.

Hi everyone! I’m Melanie and I blog over at Those Things They Said. First off, I’d like to thank Laura for selecting me as the Street Team’s ‘Blogger of the Week’…I’m tremendously honored! Now, I don’t think I can tell you enough about how much I love Motel Rocks. Each season, I fall in love with all the new prints and styles and I’m always thoroughly impressed with the quality. Tried and true, my Jordan jeans are amongst my favorite Motel purchases. Not only are they the most comfortable pants that I own, but they make such great statement wardrobe pieces. The fit is also really flattering which is something that usually concerns me with pants as I’m on the curvy side and usually have to deal with my pants “gapping” (if you have this problem, size down to your waist size and the stretch can accommodate your hips!). I know I’ve found something worthwhile when I own it in multiples (I have three, haha.) Right now I’m really into the Laynie dress with the cross embellishments. It’s such a cute dress that’s in line with my personal style. The baby doll cut paired with the sheer top is so dainty and perfect. This would definitely go great with a pair of Doc Martens or Jeffrey Campbell Tardy boots as well as some basic accessories. I’m basically in love with any of the styles with the cross embellishments…they’re all so edgy! If you guys would like to see any more of how I style my Motel items, feel free to check out my blog. Heres our first blogger Ciara from Wild Child Stories Blog and we just love her and her fab review of our  Gabby Sequin Dress in Iridescent Green, enjoy!

"Hi Guys! 

Its Ciara here from WildChildStories, and I have been given the very fun task of reviewing one of the hottest new Motel Rocks dresses for you all. I had purchased the Gabby Sequin Dress in Iridescent Green recently, using my special 20% Street Teamer Discount, and I have worn it quite a few times since! I've had a lot of people asking me about the fit of the dress and the quality of the sequins, so I thought it would be best to write a little review for everyone!

Look:

Firstly, I have to say that the quality of the sequins are fantastic! What gives the dress its uber-sparkly look is that the sequins are actually iridescent, so depending on how the light hits them, each sequin cast off colours of green, blue and turquoise! I already have a few sequinned pieces in my wardrobe, but none of them have the same type of colour-changing sequins, so I was really impressed by this dress, and just how sparkly it is.

Fit:

 I am 5'8" and a size Uk 10, and as Motel Rocks garments usually run very true to size, I felt confident ordering a size 10. I definitely made the right choice, as the size 10 fits me like a dream! Its fits nice and snug on your body (typical of the body-con style) but there is a slight "give" or stretch in the fabric, so you're certainly not uncomfortable wearing it all night. The material is also quite thick, which I always find looks and feels better than thinner material on body-con dresses. One thing that I found when I first tried on the dress was that the sleeves felt a little tight, but after wearing the dress for an hour or so they loosened and the fit was perfect.

Overall:

I have to say, this dress has severed me very well already, I even managed to incorporate it into my Halloween costume!  I went was a superhero called "Lady Sparkle", and this super-sparkly number was the perfect addition to my look!  For me, the Gabby Sequin Dress is the Ultimate Party Dress, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make a statement!  It is also available in Silver and Black sequins, but Motel have recently released the dress in Iridescent purple too, and I am very tempted to get it!

Tips for Teamers!

The Street Team has been in full swing since mid July now and we have been sooo amazed by the amount of love out there for Motel Rocks! Our team is now well over 1000 members and getting bigger every day! We love our teamers and want to help you guys out when ever we can. 

So as a thank you for just being so darn fabulous we decided to share some of our favourite ways teamers share their codes and make credit, YES! We also have some other ideas on a past post that you can see here: Tips from Street Team HQ

1. Out and About

Some of our best teamers are pretty crafty and this teamer made her own stickers! 

Its a great way to get your code seen by LOTS of people but do remember to be careful where you tag, and always try to get permission.

3. Bloggin' it up!

LOTS of our teamers are bloggers and as you well know its fun! A great way to get those sales coming in is writing as post about your favourite Motel pieces the offering your code, who can resist!

Street Teamer of the Month "August" - Elizabeth Rush!

Elizabeth was so happy to be chosen as our ST'er of the Month for August. Here's her fab interview where she shares her excitement, top tips and her love for MotelRocks! 

So, your the Street Teams first teamer of the month in 2012, how does that feel?

Opening my email up to find I was Motels Street Teamer of the Month put a VERY Big smile on my face!! In all the excitement I even forwarded the email to my Fiance at work :) Its nice to know that the promoting I do for Motel is paying off!!

What made you want to join the Motel Rocks Street Team?

I was lucky enough to have been a street teamer last year and enjoyed it so much! My hard work promoting Motel paid off and I earned a lot of commission! At the time I was at University so had a large social network of friends. When I received an email saying I had the opportunity to do it again I jumped at the chance. I think its a great idea that Street Teamers earn their commission to spend on Motel Goodies! It gives me a chance to buy and wear my favourite Motel Items!!

What advise would you give to other teamers?

To do well it is important to dedicate as much time as possible to promoting your code and promoting MOTEL! Be unique in the ways you do this! Think outside of the box! Pass your code onto friends so they can share it too with their friends... pay them back in letting them borrow your Motel Commission earned goodies on nights out! 

Any tips on how to make the most of being a Street Teamer? 

As I mentioned above, think outside of the box! Going to an event this year? Use local festivals and gigs to flyer! Wear Motel out and when someone comments on how nice your dress is... tell them about being a street teamer and pass on your code!

Whats the best thing about being in the Street Team?

Earning commission to spend on Motel means I have the opportunity and excuse to buy all of my Fav Motel goodies and as an Essex Gal its so important to look reem every hour of the day!!

Tips from Street Team HQ

Here are a few tips from Street Team HQ to get you earning credit quickly! 

This is an easy one as you all look amazing in Motel but theres nothing wrong with making a special effort and getting noticed! Don't forget to wear your I ♥ Motel tote bag packed full of your discount flyers.

That way when people ask "where did you get that?" and you can answer "Motel Rocks" and hand them a flyer with your discount code! Crafty!

This is probably our street teamers favourite way to share their discount code with thousands of girls with a simple click of a button! You can share your code on your own personal facebook page, twitter account and blog but NOT (and this is a disciplinary offence) on any of the Motel Rocks social media sites. 

It's a simple rule but a big one. 

And with our FREE Street Team blog button it's even easier to share and get earning!

Sometimes the old ways are the best, simply tell all those around you how much you love Motel Rocks! 

Then when you can offer them a 20% discount with your discount code they'll be very happy and you can watch the store credit roll in! (and get ready to make more friends!)

Good friends share everything and your Motel discount code is no different! Maybe your friend would like to become a street teamer too? There's nothing like a bit of friendly competition - which one of you will be the next street teamer of the month? Which one will earn the most credit? The most important thing is to share your discounts so your both winners!

Students are a big part of our street team as many of our members are...students! If you are one, thats great! With all those club nights, gigs and parties you'll be going to you'll be sharing your discount code with lots of people and that means lots of store credit, yay! (and it can go towards all those fab Motel party dresses)

Here at Street Team HQ we like to think we're a creative bunch and we always encourage our teamers to be creative too. Maybe you want to host a Motel Rocks Party? Maybe you want to organise a Motel rocks fashion show or even wear your discount code on a t-shirt! Which ever way you want to promote your discount code be creative and let us know what your up to! Just be sensible and have fun!
